Staithes

We stopped off at a little place called Staithes on our trip back up the road. It had been recommended by a friend and after researching photos beforehand it looked like somewhere you'd find in southern Europe. The weather was due to turn but we got there about 9am so we caught the beautiful morning sunshine and it was still warm.

I could have easily stayed forever. It was quite like Robin Hoods Bay. Small winding streets and lots of little details. You could imagine a lot of artists living round here. Very inspiring atmosphere.

That ends the Yorkshire trip. I absolutely loved our wee holiday. You don't need to go abroad to find beauty. Our next adventure is Blackpool, just in time to catch the Illuminations. I can't wait to share it with you.
